Who we are, and what this page covers

Plain English. No small print games.

Oggle Blox Ltd is a residential block and estate management company based in Leeds. This page does two jobs. It explains how we look after any personal information you give us through this website, and it sets out the terms you agree to when you use the site.

We have tried to keep it short and readable, because a privacy policy nobody can follow protects nobody. If anything here is unclear, or you would like it in a different format, email [email protected] or call 0113 859 9000 and we will talk it through with you.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Oggle Blox Ltd is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. You can write to us at F4 Lotherton Business Park, Lotherton Way, Leeds, LS25 2HP.

This page is about the website. If we already manage your block or estate, the information we hold about you in that role is handled as part of that management service rather than through this site. Ask us at any time and we will explain what we hold and why.

Privacy statement

Oggle Blox respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

We ask for as little as we can. The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to type into our contact form. We use it to answer you, and for nothing else.

We do not share, sell, rent or distribute your email address or any other personal information to third parties for their own purposes. Asking us a question does not put you on a mailing list, and your details are never passed to other companies looking for work.

What the contact form collects, and where it goes

Our contact form asks for your name, your email address, your phone number and the address of the property you are asking about. There is also an optional notes box if you want to tell us more. The first four are required, because without them we cannot identify the building or get back to you. The notes are entirely up to you, and a short enquiry is perfectly fine.

When you press send, the form posts your answers straight to a Google Apps Script web app that belongs to Oggle Blox. That script writes the submission into a Google Sheet in our own Google account, and that sheet is where our team reads it and picks the enquiry up. Nothing else happens to it. The website itself has no database and no login, and your message is not copied to any advertising or marketing platform.

Because the script and the sheet sit inside Google Workspace, Google acts as our processor for that part of the journey and stores the information on its systems on our behalf. Access to the sheet is limited to Oggle Blox people who need it to deal with enquiries.

In data protection terms, we handle what you send us because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you are asking us to quote for looking after your block or estate, because you have asked us to take steps before entering into an agreement.

We keep contact form submissions for . You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner than that, and we will, unless we have a legal reason to keep it.

Your name

So we know who we are writing back to, and so the right person at your building gets the reply.

Your email address

Our usual way of replying. It is used to answer your enquiry and is not added to any marketing list.

Your phone number

For when a two minute call is quicker than a chain of emails. Checked by the form as a UK number so typos do not cost you a reply.

The property address

Checked for a valid UK postcode. It tells us which block or estate you mean before we even pick up the phone.

Notes (optional)

Anything you want us to know up front. Please do not include information you would not want sitting in an email inbox, such as bank details.

How we use your information

Your details are used to contact you directly about the request or enquiry you made. In practice that means a reply by email, a call back on the number you gave us, a site visit, or a proposal for managing your building.

If your enquiry is about a block or estate we already look after, we may pass the relevant part of it to the property manager responsible for that site so it can be dealt with properly, and to a contractor where instructing one is the only way to get the work done.

We do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising unless you have explicitly asked us to send you something. If you have asked and then change your mind, reply to any message from us or email [email protected] and we will stop.

We will only disclose what you send us outside Oggle Blox where you have asked us to, or where the law requires it, for example a valid request from a court or a public authority. We do not sell data, and we do not trade it for services.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website sets no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service. There is no visitor profile, no record of which pages you looked at, no heatmap tool watching your mouse and nothing to opt out of. There are no advertising pixels, no social media tracking scripts and no third-party content loading quietly in the background.

The only request this site makes to anywhere outside oggleblox.com is the one that carries your contact form submission to our Google Apps Script endpoint, and that happens only when you press send. Fonts, images, styles and scripts are all served from our own server.

That is also why you will not meet a cookie banner on your way in. We did not hide it. There is genuinely nothing to consent to.

Our web server keeps routine access logs for security and troubleshooting, which is standard for any website. Each entry records the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the page or file requested, the response status, the page you came from if any, and the browser's user agent string. These logs are rotated daily and kept for 14 days, after which they are deleted. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything you send through the contact form.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable precautions to safeguard your information from unauthorised access or disclosure.

The site is served over HTTPS, so anything you type into the contact form is encrypted while it travels to us. Access to the Google Sheet that holds enquiries is restricted to Oggle Blox people who need it, and the website holds no copy of your message itself.

Please understand that no method of electronic storage, and no transmission over the internet, is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and nobody being straight with you will claim otherwise.

If you ever think something has gone wrong with information you sent us, tell us quickly on 0113 859 9000 or at [email protected] so we can look into it properly.

Your rights under UK data protection law

UK GDPR gives you rights over the personal information we hold about you. Using them is free, and asking will never affect how we deal with your enquiry or your building.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] or write to us at F4 Lotherton Business Park, Lotherton Way, Leeds, LS25 2HP. Tell us what you want and give us enough detail to find your record. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we never hand one person's information to somebody else. We will respond within one month, which is the time limit the law sets.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information or your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's supervisory authority for data protection. You will find how to do that at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we have a chance to put it right, but you are under no obligation to.

Access

Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and an explanation of what we are doing with it.

Rectification

Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete, such as a misspelled name or an old phone number.

Erasure

Ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it for the reason you gave it to us.

Objection

Object to us handling your information where we are relying on our legitimate interests, and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue.

Terms of service

By accessing and using oggleblox.com, you agree to the terms below.

They apply to the website itself. They do not change, replace or override any management agreement, lease, contract or other arrangement between you and Oggle Blox Ltd. Where a signed agreement says something different about the services we provide, that agreement is what counts.

Acceptance of terms

Using our website indicates your acceptance of these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

Use of website

You agree to use oggleblox.com lawfully and ethically. You may not misuse the site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it, or attempt to gain access to parts of it that are not public.

Limitation of liability

Oggleblox.com is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, reliability or availability of the content or the services described on it. Information on this site is general: it is not legal, financial or surveying advice, and you should not rely on it alone when making a decision about a property. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The version published on this page is always the current one, and continued use of the site after a change constitutes your acceptance of it. Where a change materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
